DaCast offers a full suite of monetization features. These are based around earning new revenue through paywalls, a security feature that blocks access to content unless the viewer has paid for the content.

The paywall is handled completely in the video player. Viewers try to access the streaming media content and are presented with a choice of options to use to buy. After making a selection, the viewer then pays with either a credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express) or PayPal.

All prices that viewers are charged are selected by the broadcaster along with duration. $5 for 2 hours of access, or $20 for a year subscription, and many more options are possible.

All logins from viewers are saved, and reports are presented for those who purchased, what they bought and for how much.
