GREENVILLE, S.C. (Jan. 9, 2013) – There's nothing imaginary about it and no special powers were needed—just hard work and great video and interactive departments. Jackson Marketing Group (JMG), South Carolina's second largest integrated marketing communications agency, recently won gold in the Fourth Annual Pixie Awards for the fresh and innovative motion graphics video, "Small Planet," a branding piece for Sage Automotive Interiors. JMG also won a platinum Pixie Award in 2011 for its TV campaign for The Palmetto Bank.

"Small Planet" was the innovative branding video crafted for Sage Automotive Interiors, a global leader in automotive seat and bodycloth development, design and manufacturing. JMG chose to tell the Sage story with a simple, fresh motion graphics video. The video captures the essence of how Sage uses recycled plastic to make its innovative fabric, and does so in a cheerful, interesting, smart way–without being too scientific.

Sponsored by the American Pixel Academy (APA), the Pixie Awards recognize outstanding work in animation, motion graphics and special effects. Judging is done by professionals who have excelled in these fields, including David E. Carter, the executive director of the APA and founder of the Telly ® Awards and American Corporate Identity.

Entries are judged on a standard of excellence, not against each other.  Entries scoring 9.0 or higher on a 10-point scale qualify for the Platinum Pixie award. Those scoring 7.0 to 8.9 qualify for the Gold Pixie Award.
